Choose Your Tribe for Success

WHO IS INFLUENCING YOUR MIND?

The quality of your life is in direct proportion of the quality of people who you have in your life. Find your tribe that pulls you forward.

CHOOSE YOUR TRIBE WISELY. THEY WILL DECIDE HOW FAR YOU GO, WHAT RISKS YOU TAKE, WHICH MINDSET YOU ADOPT AND WHICH REALITY YOU CREATE.

Do you have the same friends you have had for years? If you were truly honest, are they like the old dresses you keep around in the back of your closet to wear one day when you fit into them again? Are there people you now avoid meeting because you and they have lost a connection, a common ground? Do you need to declutter your closet and your relationships?

Take a look at who is in your group that inspires you to be your best self, challenges you, supports you and truly wants the best for you? After all these years, do they represent the type of person you want to be? What exactly is about them that you hold onto? Is their ability to inspire you with their own example? Is it that they have a defined vision and are ambitious in their goal-getting? Are they soulful humans who look at life in a positive, ever-evolving, ever growing and changing manner? Do they light up your life? Do they stir your soul in its depth? Or are you with people for the sake of being with them? They aren't really in your corner. They aren't really into your big ideas about life. They are there because you have some shared interests. If they don't make your heart sing when you see them, chances are, you are avoiding them or passively delaying meeting them with the excuse of "too busy". I believe that if you really want to meet someone, you'll figure out a time to meet them.  If not does the thought of a break-up or letting a friendship go bring you pangs of guilt?

Keep in mind you are the average of the 5 people you hang out with. They will make the unspoken standards and expectations by which the group operates. If you want to be at the next level then you need to find a group that are more aligned with your focus and desire. Your existing tribe will keep you comfortable in your comfort zone.

Not everyone needs to be at a rockstar level...or own a business, work hard, go back to school, quit drinking, pay off the debt, follow your dream to open a bakery, etc. Not everyone has the desire to be challenged in their status quo. They may even say it for "your own good" without a personal agenda, so they say. However, know that when you make changes that cause you to move forward, you are forcing them to look at themselves...and many times you will be met with resistance. Understand this is normal and you are taking chances they wish they could take. If you truly believe you need to do something, find support, people who are aligned with your spirit and then be ready to experience the movement and momentum.
